I admire how much pride you have in yourself. You not only recieved many medals, you also wore them durring your performances and showed the world your success. In a time of segragation, showing your success is very powerful and also inspirational.
What an inspiration! Despite the fact you were going through a difficult time trying to spread the news of your voice and getting it heard, you still managed to get around all that haterd and dislike to where you are now and then. It's you and your sound of voice that is simiply overwhelming.
